The Design Story:
- Client Brief: To create a cozy, traditional and classic design that will be relevant even after 20+ years.
- Design Focus: Elegant solid wood furniture, stunning antiques, artisitc flooring designs and custom made drapes, upholstery and bed linen were all integrated in this villa to create a cozy, inspiring and harmonious sanctuary.
- Project Highlight: A standout seamless flooring pattern of Spanish tiles and solid wood increasing the visual depth and beauty of the space.

Interior Design and Implementation combining two apartments over 6,000 Sq. Ft.

The Design Story:
- Client Brief: To provide ample storage without compromising on the aesthetics.
- Design Focus: A careful play of available space and layout flow through the foyer, living, dining and bedroom areas was carefully curated to create a deeply comforting and relaxing retreat. Each bedroom had a special feature – a circular headboard with a custom hand embroidered world map covering it to depict ‘Mum’s the World” in the parents room, an innovative play area in the childrens room and a great color scheme that ruled the master bedroom.
- Project Highlight: The beautifully designed foyer and master bedroom captured the entire essence of the brief.

The Design Story:
- Client Brief: A modern South Indian home with state-of-the-art amenities.
- Design Focus: The luxurious triple height space and tall windows overlooking the living room allows abundant natural light to provide an open, airy ambience while bringing the design aesthetics to the fore. As you enter this home, you are greeted with an expanse of traditional tile work and the breath-taking three floor staircase tightly integrated with its surroundings.
- Project Highlight: The vast living space seamlessly flowing into a classic dining space adjoining an open kitchen with integrated aesthetics that showcases the effortless transition between cooking, dining and relaxing.

The Design Story:
- Client Brief: The transformation of an old, basic bungalow with bare minimum interiors to a modern contemporary home which requires minimal maintenance.
- Design Focus: Leather upholstered furniture, fluted panels, hidden doors within its wide vista, a smart easy to access ultra-modern kitchen were a notable feature of this project. Maximum utilisation of space for storage areas in the bedrooms without compromising on the design aesthetic was anoter very key aspect of this implementation. This was topped off with a beautiful sunroom on the terrace that created a really private and open space to relax and read.
- Project Highlight: A classic white kitchen with timeless appeal, smart cabinetry and state-of-the-art equipment showcasing the clutter free deign philosophy.

A recent Interior Design project of Design Spot has been featured in the Bangalore edition of the Times of India. In the issue dated 31 August 2008, the beautiful multi-level residence of Mr. Narendra has been highlighted in the supplementary section “The Address” with a photo feature by Ms. Nandhini Sundar.

Turn an Apartment into a Villa - feature in Times of India
An interesting project by Design Spot featured in the Times of India by Nandhini Sundar explores the concept of making an apaprtment feel like a villa. This custom design and build project was a real showcase of redesigning existing apartments with a completely new look and feel for the client.
