DESIGN SPOT was formed in 1992 to provide creative ideas in the field of Interior Design at Bangalore, India. Over the years we have designed and executed several prestigious and challenging projects.
We are an award winning company that believes that every project is a challenge in itself. This leads to in-depth research before a final design is presented to the client. We have matured into an organization which is not “just another” interior design company. Our portfolio of Interior Architecture design projects executed over the past 26 years speaks volumes.

Design Spot was awarded for Interior Design Excellence by Construction Source India at a gala ceremony held at ITC Taj Gardenia, Bangalore on Sunday, 16th May 2010. Many leading architects, builders, developers and interior designers attended this event as well as the CSI – CEO Round Table Conference.

Project Initiation
- Preparation of layout plans based on interactions with the designated client representatives.
- Preparation of detailed estimates, specifications and time-lines for the works involved.
- Tendering Process:
- Preparation of Tender documents and Tender contracts.
- Calling for tenders from reputed contractors.
- Preparation of comparative statements.
- Assisting the clients in selecting the contractors.
Project Execution
- Preparation of working drawings
- Issuing necessary details to contractors in order to complete the work as per schedule.
- Calling for site meetings as and when necessary to check the progress and quality of work.
- Continually monitor the work in progress
- Ensure completion / handing over of the project within the specified time frame
- Complete all necessary audits & documentation as agreed with the client.

The Times of India, Bangalore recently featured a full interview with M. Ambica, Principal Designer at Design Spot. Ambica spoke with Nandhini Sundar of TOI regarding the various aspects of Interior Design for a new house or apartment.
Design Spot featured in the Times of India
A recent Interior Design project of Design Spot has been featured in the Bangalore edition of the Times of India. In the issue dated 31 August 2008, the beautiful multi-level residence of Mr. Narendra has been highlighted in the supplementary section “The Address” with a photo feature by Ms. Nandhini Sundar.

A recent Interior Design project of Design Spot has been featured in the Bangalore edition of the Times of India. In the issue dated Sunday, 30 May 2010, the contemporary multi-level residence of Mr. K.P. Nagesh and Uma at Vijayanagar has been showcased with a photo feature by Ms. Nandhini Sundar in the supplementary section “The Address”.
Home Office featured in Times Property, June 2011
Our Principal Designer, Ambica was featured in the DesignCues section of Times Property in the Bangalore edition of the Times of India. The issue dated Friday, 03 June 2011, had an interview with Ambica and featured a Home Office at the residence of Mr. Narendra.
Turn an Apartment into a Villa - feature in Times of India
An interesting project by Design Spot featured in the Times of India by Nandhini Sundar explores the concept of making an apaprtment feel like a villa. This custom design and build project was a real showcase of redesigning existing apartments with a completely new look and feel for the client.
